I FINISHED MY PORK PAINTING OVER THE WEEKEND. I'VE BEEN PAINTING LIKE CRAZY THESE LAST FEW WEEKS TRYING TO GET MY ART READY TO APPLY FOR THE STREET ART INTERNATIONAL SHOW THAT IS GOING ON IN OCTOBER IN LOS ANGELES. I PUT IN MY APPLICATION ON FRIDAY, SO WE'LL SEE WHETHER OR NOT I GET ACCEPTED. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!
Finished work on a KAWS tribute fireplace mural today.
I've always been a fan of KAWS, especially since he grew up in the same city that I did. So when I was approached to do a KAWS style fireplace mural I was super pumped. I worked on this piece for roughly 65 hours over 8 days. This was my first mural of this size, pretty much my first mural at all. Decided to bring one of my favorite idols into Wicky's World the other day. He is such an amazing human being, well I'm not sure if he is human...
Karl is an amazing photographer amongst many other things, but he looks just as amazing in front of the camera. In this image you see my extremophiles staring on in awe at Karl as if the whole world stopped in his presence. I am not sure who the photographer was, it could have been Karl himself but if not, thanks for the great image for me to remix. On a side note, i think i may have scanned it wrong...
